Be Proud, Be Responsible!

Be Proud, Be Responsible! is a new program in Shelby County that works with schools, churches and community centers to educate teen girls and boys on pregnancy prevention. The program is being administered by Le Bonheur Children’s hospital and received a $4 million, 5 year grant this year to begin implementation. The program has begun by working in North Memphis at Northside High School, Frayser High School, Trezevant High School, Memphis Academy of Health Sciences Middle and High School and several churches and community organizations. Administrative Director, Corey Johnson, speaks a little bit about what the program hopes to accomplish.
