The Urban Child Institute Announces $8,446,420 In Community Grants
We would like to announce awards of $8,446,420 in grants to organizations focused on community health and wellness.
The focus areas of the grants range from pediatric advocacy health programs under Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital to education programs under the University of Memphis as well as health and education research under University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Grant funding is also contributing to community-based programs impacting all ages and incomes levels throughout the city of Memphis.
“Our children are the future of our community and these grants will help to insure the continued improvement of their health, education and quality of life,” said Gary Shorb [1], Executive Director, The Urban Child Institute.
The Urban Child Institute focuses its grant making and community support on kindergarten readiness and 3rd grade reading level.
