Memphis Rotary Club Presents... Fatherhood Friday

Fatherhood Friday is an initiative designed to support, encourage and enhance the father and child bond.

Children see their fathers as superheros and therefore, fathers have a tremendous amount of influence over their children. Many fathers do not realize that they are the missing key when it comes to improving school attendance and graduation rates, reducing the incidence of childhood obesity and reducing teen pregnancy. However, many fathers do not make time to spend and create that necessary bond with their child(ren). The Memphis Rotary Club, The City of Memphis and The Urban Child Institute want to make a difference by providing Dads with the opportunity to start or enhance their relationship with their child(ren).

Fatherhood Friday is an initiative designed to support, encourage and enhance the father and child bond. Fatherhood Friday presented by the Memphis Rotary Club, will be held June 29th at the Memphis Zoo. The doors of the Zoo will open at 9:00 a.m. with registration beginning at 9:30 am, leading up to the Fatherhood Friday festivities scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Each father and child(ren) will receive a T-Shirt and a backpack.

Fatherhood Friday sponsors and partners include: The Urban Child Institute, The City of Memphis, Memphis Zoo, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The United Way of the Mid-South and Cisco Systems, Inc.

Regular Zoo admission policies apply to Fatherhood Friday participants.
